September 6th is Labor Day, a federal holiday, and day of rest for most hard working Americans. This day was a result of the late 19th century labor movement, created to pay tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers.

We are wishing a Happy New Year to our Jewish friends and family! Rosh Hashanah starts at sunset on September 6th, marking the first day of the new year. This holiday is celebrated through September 8th.

September 11th marks 20 years since the terrorist attacks on U.S soil. Now, this day is recognized as Patriot Day, a day dedicated to honoring those individuals who were killed on 9/11/2001.

We are wishing a Happy Yom Kippur, or "Day of Atonement," to our Jewish friends and family. Starting at sunset on September 15th and ending on September 16th, this day is considered Judaism's holiest day of the year.

World Suicide Prevention Day is recognized on September 10th. This day is dedicated to preventing suicide and suicidal behavior through spreading awareness on this topic. If you or someone you know is displaying suicidal behavior or thoughts, be sure to call 911 immediately. For more information, visit the  International Association for Suicide Prevention's website.

Advances in modern medicine have made it possible for individuals who have been diagnosed with HIV/AIDS to live longer, healthier lives. September 18th brings attention to the growing number of people who are doing just that, click here to learn more.
